About the Firm. . .

This firm was formed for the purpose of providing legal services of high quality at a reasonable cost.  More than thirty years of experience in the field have given Bob Miller the background, knowledge and experience to provide effective and knowledgeable service.  The firm's services are focused in the areas of estate and trust planning, probate, estate and trust administration together with related business and tax services you will find on our website.  The firm will continue to serve clients on the Southside, on the Peninsula, and in other parts of Virginia and in other states.

In some cases, clients of larger firms have felt the need for an approach more focused on their individual circumstances.  To address those concerns, the new firm will provide substantial flexibility in the delivery of legal services.  

First, we will be working with a broad range of clients.  Clients who need only a simple will or have simple business matters are welcome as well as those with substantial estates and complex business issues.   In larger estate matters, we can provide effective and sophisticated estate, gift and income tax planning comparable to much larger firms.

Next, a significant issue with many clients of larger firms is high legal fees.  A major cause of such fees is the large overhead costs necessarily incurred by large firms.  By using current technology and avoiding such high overhead, services can be reasonably priced.  Many of the estate planning services will be provided for a fixed fee.  Flexible pricing based on reasonable hourly rates can be arranged for other matters.

In addition, flexibility in arrangement for client meetings is important.  Due to busy schedules or personal considerations, clients may find it inconvenient to visit our office.  To accommodate these concerns, meetings at the client's place of business or home can be arranged.

By focusing in select areas, we are able to offer experience and expertise comparable to that found in the largest firms in the state. However, due to our size, we are able to offer individualized, personal attention to the needs of clients which may not always be available with larger firms.
